"Upward Mobility" was a comment on the nature of the Art Market, celebrity, feminism as sellable exoticism, and the decline of the middle class. In a 30 minute performance, I attempted to climb a fire escape ladder up the exhibition venue, wearing a "little black dress" and high heels. After I had physically exhausted myself, I unhooked from my safety equipment, and took the stairs.
