The Center for Strategic Meditation and Fucking Shit Up, 2013

The Center for Strategic Meditation and Fucking Shit Up, was a 72 hour event at Greene Exhibitions in Culver City. I transformed the gallery into something between a spiritual center and a nostalgic vintage TV watching den. For the entire 72 hours, I attempted to watch films and documentaries on spirituality and insurrection. I attempted to not sleep, eat, or speak. I communicated on paper, forcing my words to be succinct and selective. The spiritual candles were adorned with the faces of radicals and the gold beanbags gave myself and my guests golden halos. A screening list was posted and guests came 24 hours a day to view the films. The entire event was live streamed on a Ustream channel.
